Claude Monet is one of my favorite painters. I love impressionism. Monet spent a lot of time at his home in Giverny, France surrounded by beautiful abundant floral gardens. His gardens inspired his fabulous paintings. You can read more about Claude Monet and Giverny here and view samples of much of his floral artwork here.
One of the highlights of my 2004 trip to Europe with my daughter and her high school group was a stop at Giverny.

Beautiful!! Amazing flowers, beautiful daughter! 🙂
I like Montague Dawson and Frank Vinning Smith but can’t stand being seasick. Have to take motion pill to go in bath tub.
Beautiful daughter and beautiful flowers!
Hi Christine .. Anna looks great amongst the roses … Giverny is just across the Channel and I’ve yet to get there .. cheers and have a lovely weekend .. Hilary
Good pic, Christine! 😀
beautiful! tres belle!!!
Those are amazing flowers!
She looks like she belongs in the flower garden. 🙂 Beautiful.
Thanks, everyone. Giverny, minus all the tourists, is a gardener’s dream. I can only imagine, however, because the other tour buses unloaded all their guests the same time ours did. I saw Monet’s little arched bridge, so famous in his paintings, but it was packed solid with people. Don’t you wish we lived in a world where we could visit these beautiful places alone and see them as they were intended?
Such a beautiful photo! Very colorful, and a lovely way to interpret the challenge. 🙂
