Hidden behind the fallen boughs, beyond the wooded land and into the water, a small turtle suns himself on a rock this crisp autumn day.
Ducks rest in stillness on a submerged tree trunk, hidden under the leaves on the arching branches and behind their reflection on the water.
Very nice, Christine!!! Lovely shots!!!
Beautiful! I love turtles!
Beautifully Camouflaged and well taken.. 🙂
Excellent selections for the prompt.
Good shots!
Thanks, everybody. Thank goodness for these weekly photo challenges. They’re a break on a rushed day. (If I’ve managed to find or capture a photo, that is.)
I’m making a lot of photography friends on Twitter. 🙂
The photos are like hidden puzzles, or tests of our capacity to pay attention!
I thought that too. If someone is skimming through in a hurry, they have to stop for a second to find the little turtle. I almost didn’t see it as we were walking.
Used to keep turtles but they are so messy. Need to change that water twice a day to keep things healthy.
That would be a pain. I felt the same way about goldfish. Although I changed the water once a day.
Beautiful shots, Christine. I particularly like the turtle sunning himself (because I particularly like turtles). 🙂
Who couldn’t like a turtle?
Lovely shots, Christine!
Thanks. The walk was lovelier.
