The redbuds growing wild in our woods

Driving up 75 to Dayton to see my parents on Wednesday I was stunned by the beauty of a section of land flanking the road. There were dark forest green, tall and slim evergreens interspersed with airy and bright lavendar redbud trees. Nothing else. Just the dense dark green against the graceful and airy lavendar. It looked like a painting.

Unfortunately I was driving and not able to take a picture, but I’m bringing you these two photos of the redbuds in our woods as a consolation prize instead.

I hope you have a beautiful weekend.

  1. I know what you mean about the redbuds. I had some errands to run in Lexington today, and they were stunning, especially in the rain, for some reason.

Have a great weekend, my friend!

  2. Beautiful photos. I love woods. They bring back childhood memories. We lived in an undeveloped area, and woods were common. You are right. Those photos of your woods are a treat. Blessings to you…
