Many things about life puzzle me. For example, why does putting a puzzle together feel so satisfying? This is our biggest ever at 3000 pieces, a Christmas gift from our daughter and significant other. Do we still say “significant other”? I am completely out of touch.
Our adult children helped us get a good start on it over the holiday. Then they left Mark and me to pick up the pieces.
We’re getting there. I can taste victory.
Now that’s a puzzle! For many years we’ve done a Christmas puzzle too–but never more than 3000 pieces. This year we started doing jigsaw puzzles on our iPads a month or so before the time we normally purchase our holiday puzzle so didn’t get one. I find puzzle time to be so relaxing and a good time to think about all kinds of things. Good luck on this one! It looks beautiful.
Do you have a good iPad app? I haven’t looked at puzzle apps for a long time. It is kind of zen for me. I don’t think we’ll be doing any larger ones than this either.
Yes, it’s just called Jigsaw Puzzles I believe. Hubby and I are on it all the time!
I love jigsaw puzzles. They seem to require just enough concentration to allow my mind to rest and wander at the same time! and that probably makes no sense at all.
No. It makes perfect sense.
My seven-year-old grandson gets the same pleasure from his lego. I get satisfaction from solving a sudoku before bed.
Three thousand pieces! That’s a big challenge. Good luck.
Thanks. I like Legos and Sudoku too, although it’s been a while since I’ve done Sudoku. I helped my grandson with Legos over Christmas.
WOW Mom, you guys did this much faster than I anticipated.
It’s not quite done. The elephant is still pretty skeletal and we have a lot of background grass to fill in–the easy parts.
Love Jigsaws 🙂 and this looks a beauty.. I guess when you think about it Life is like one giant Jigsaw puzzle.. 🙂
Wishing you and yours a Very Happy New Year Christine Love and Many Blessings your way.
Sue 🙂
I know. I almost wrote an analogy to life, but opted out. Happy New Year Sue. I hope to be around a little more, but I’ve got a lot of loose ends on my desk right now. Take care.
No worries at all Christine.. I am trying better to keep to my email alerts.. but No doubt It will soon go by the wayside when the growing season gets underway 🙂 xxx
The most I’ve ever had a hand in was 1500 pieces. My uncle loves doing these.
I love jigsaw puzzles, I have begun to build them online, which I really enjoy.
